Atom – Convenor Message
Welcome to the 2017/2018 KMHA Hockey Season!
My name is Sharon Grenier-Wood and I am the Atom Convenor for this season. This is my 3rd season as a minor hockey convenor and I’m looking forward to another successful year!
Sort Outs
The final plan for sort outs are still underway, but sort outs are expected to begin the weekend of September 9th (the weekend after labour day), and include four sessions over two weekends.
The sort outs will be unbiased. We will balance the teams within each level (A, B & C) to the best of our ability. We will not permit friend requests to influence team composition and/or to potentially create an imbalance.
Volunteers Needed
To ensure another successful year, I am looking for volunteers in any capacity. If you are only available short term to help during sort outs or would be available for a full season commitment, there are many opportunities to help out. To volunteer for any of the positions below, please send me an email at atomconvenor@kmha.ca
Sortout Volunteers
- Registration Desk
- Ice General
- Evaluators
- On Ice Stations
- On Ice Shepherds (Great opportunity for students looking for volunteer hours)
- Others
Volunteers will be required to participate on one of the three weekends, all day for both days. (Typically consists of 7 hours each day)
Throughout the Season
- Coaches
- Assistant Coaches
- Goalie Coaches
- Trainers
- Managers
Please note that all team volunteer positions are subject to a completed policy check (no cost to you)
