Welcome to the 2017/18 season. We hope that you are excited about it as we are , and wish you all a great season

Bantam – Program Overview

Hello Hockey Families,

Welcome back to another hockey season! My name is Richard Perkins and I will be the Bantam Convenor for the 2016/2017 season.

I know everyone is anxiously awaiting details for our house sort outs and we’re working very hard at getting those times out to everyone as quickly as possible. Right now one of our primary concerns is ensuring that we have enough volunteers to help things run smoothly, and we need your help to make sure this happens.

Nancy Neil has offered to be our volunteer coordinator and will help organize the various people into the various positions we need to fill over the course of the scrimmage games. If you or anyone is willing and able to help out, for volunteer hours or otherwise, please contact her ASAP, you can reach Nancy at nancyjneil@gmail.com I know she is ready to start filling in spots on the schedule.

Our sort outs this year are going to be a little different than in the past as we will not be having a ‘skills’ session, and will be going straight to scrimmage games. The games will start on September 10th, and we should hopefully have that schedule out to you by next week, but be prepared that hockey will start for your Bantam aged player on the 10th.

Finally I want to urge you to have a look through your player’s equipment bag. For many this will be the first time you’ve had a look since the end of last season, and if your player is like mine, they’ve grown! You want to make sure that all of their equipment is there, that it fits and is in good working order. Now is the time to get to the store and pick up anything you’re missing, as well as get those skates sharpened.

I look forward to seeing you all out at the rink shortly, and am looking forward to another fun season!

Thank you,

Richard Perkins
